Principle of Inspection
The machine is equipped with an advanced visual inspection system with high-resolution CCD cameras and illuminators. Both cameras and light sources are mounted on a mobile support that swings back and forward to chase the movement of the containers without stopping the main carousel.
The images acquisition is performed with no relative movement between the container and the  camera-illumination  system  so  to  ensure  the  best  sensitivity  for  the  inspection. Furthermore, the cameras track the containers for two machine steps and this allows a double inspection time if compared to other similar systems available in the market.
The machine employs the new patented GF gripper which allows adjustment of the closing force in order to handle smoothly even fragile containers.
The new grippers are driven by the latest generation of brushless motors which can be fully programmed with different spinning parameters specific for each product size and for each inspection station. This fine tuning makes the machine to be extremely flexible and guarantees excellent inspection results.
The combination of powerful microprocessors and a specially designed vision software grant the machine to work at high production rates without compromising the image resolution while monitoring a large number of frames for each container.
The operator can observe the results of the inspection process on the display in real time.
The machine is controlled by an industrial PC. Such a control unit is by far more powerful and flexible than any other conventional PLCs.
